In SPLAT Organic toothpaste, five natural oils and aloe vera gel reduce gum bleeding, calcium lactate strengthens enamel, and zinc gluconate together with pineapple and neem extracts protect against caries. Tea tree essential oil contains a rare ingredient, viridiflorene. The antiseptic effect of tea tree oil is 8 times stronger than carbolic acid and 12 times stronger than phenol. Unlike antibiotics, it does not kill bacteria, viruses and fungi but limits their growth, keeping their numbers within safe limits while stimulating the body's immune system. The SPLAT team has developed a unique triple enzyme system in which each of the three enzymes breaks down its own part of the melanoid pigments, enabling effective whitening of tooth enamel.
