When brushing with an ordinary flat-trim manual toothbrush, the bristles can get caught in the brackets of orthodontic appliances and cause discomfort. That is why the scientists of the SPLAT Innovation Laboratory present the innovative SPLAT® SMILEX ORTHO+ orthodontic toothbrush for braces, with a U-shaped cut and two types of bristles. The special recess in the centre stops the bristles from catching in the brackets. The shortened tips of the central bristle rows clean the braces, while the spiral bristles on the sides clean the tooth enamel and interdental spaces. 3,250 bristles of varying height do not injure the enamel or gums.
